Lacquered Bachido Doukake

View image gallery (14 pics) The doukake is a hardened shell attached to the side of the dou (body) on which the arm rests. While it's purpose is protecting the shamisen's skin from sweat and the dou from wear, it's other important duty is giving your shamisen an extra touch of beauty! There is no other doukake more beautiful and protective than Bachido Doukake, personally hand-crafted by Kyle Abbott!

Return Policy

There is a 90 day return policy (which starts on the first day of shipment) for the Bachido Doukake. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and shipping costs must be covered by the customer.

The Bachido Doukake is handcrafted in my (Kyle Abbott) home. While I take great effort to ensure an absolute mirror-like smoothness when lacquering the Emerald Dream, please note that an absolute 100% dust-free environment is almost impossible to achieve. Thus, there may be one to three tiny pin-sized bumps in the lacquer which is an unavoidable occurrence. That said, it is virtually unnoticable without close inspection. Besides, the beauty of slight imperfections is what separates lifeless machine-made duplicates from distinct artisinal handwork!

Note: Bachido Doukake must be returned in brand-new condition without any scratches for refund to be accepted.
